The KOBS under 19s started their season on Saturday with a convincing win over Parramatta 22 – 17. For a first outing for the season the “Young Guns” as they have been dubbed, unfortunately, looked very composed and very committed.
The Parramatta side did have a considerable weight advantage, but the KOBs ability to get the ball wide and make ground with the ball in hand was the major telling difference between the sides. A couple of late tries let the Parramatta team narrow the scoreline but the KOBs win never looked in doubt.
For anyone interested in watching some good running rugby, it is well worth heading out to the football a little earlier to catch their games.
Also, thank you to the Rockdale Rugby Club on behalf of KOBs for setting up the ground early so the under 19s could play at the same ground as most of the rest of us. This was greatly appreciated.
