After a trial session with new coach Rohan Cranney and trainer Ari (see profiles below), the committee has decided that it’s time to get stuck into season 2014.

This year we’re doing things a bit differently. The session will be mostly fitness with some skills thrown in, but it is open to anyone. Bring your mates and that includes WOMEN. My girlfriend will be there and I encourage you all to invite your significant others or friends to build on our great team of WAGs that supported us through the 4th grade finals campaign.

Training starts on Monday, 20 January. Be there at 6:30pm for a 6:45pm start at Wentworth Park.

Rohan Cranney:

New 1st XV coach, Rohan Cranney, is not only an old boy of the School but played for KOBs. He is of the old school era of Doc Harris and Alan Jones. He is an ex-farmer who now lives in Sydney, is a rowing coach at Scots and had three boys go through King’s. Rohan has vast coaching experience including for his hometown of Albury and Brumbies junior teams.

New Club Trainer, Ari, is an ex-Iranian military soldier come personal trainer who now calls Sydney home. Ari recently left Vision Personal Training to work for himself, and enjoys a busy client base across Sydney. The Committee have already endured one of his sessions, and if that is anything to go by, KOBs will be a fit club in 2014!

And if you don’t know where we train, there’s a map here:

Look forward to seeing everyone down there!
