This Week at KOBs 17 March 2014
Gents,
See this week’s update below:
ROUND 1 COUNTDOWN:
19 DAYS
Results:
SInce my last update we’ve played 2 trials. The first out at Hawkesbury Valley was a great success with plenty of promising new and old heads on display, turning out plenty of winning performances in the 3-way trial format.
This weekend we travelled to Southern Beaches near Newcastle with a depleted, mixed bag of players. While the results weren’t fantastic, the great positive was a much improved and gutsy 2nd half against a well drilled and much larger opposition. In the 2nd half, Southern Beaches scored 3 tries and Tom Joffick bagged one for us in a close contest. It was a great day and fantastic night at the Gunyah Pub and I’d like to say a big thanks to Kyle James, Kyle lead up the organisation of this weekend by liaising with the opposition, organising accommodation and leading the charge on the DF on Saturday night. We look forward to inviting the Southern Beaches boys down to the Kingdome in 2015.
Training
Training continues this week and we look forward to our numbers building leading up to our most important trial this weekend. As always, training start at 6:30pm at Wentworth Park, Glebe (near the light rail bridge) and is on Monday and Thursday. Let’s do the work now for a payoff down the track.
