This Week at KOBs – 14 April 2014

Gents,

See this week’s update below:

SPECIAL TICKET OFFER:

Subbies Clubs, players, supporters, families & friends have an exclusive ticket offer for Wallabies v France, to be played on the afternoon of Sat 21 June at the SFS.

This is a great offer, simple and cheap:

  • There are already 30 confirmed old KOBs (Shack of Rogues) with up to 60 pencilled for the match
  • It’s the only way to ensure we all sit together at what will be a sold-out match.
  • Tickets are in the bronze category, in the Paddington end bay of the SFS.
  • Clubs can buy as many tickets as they like for players, friends and family
  • Under no circumstances will there be Subbies matches that day – it is a guaranteed bye.
  • The Subbies Rep team will be playing the curtain raiser.
  • You will have exclusive use of the “Subbies Bar” adjacent to your seats.

All you have to do is send me an email to confirm your tickets. Price is $55 which includes a $6 contribution to the refurbishment of the scrum machine and all booking fees. Winner!

Results:

This week we were brought back to Earth a little with some more modest results. 4th grade had a gutsy 14-14 draw and 3rd grade score 3 tries to win 15-7. 2nd grade went down in a close one 7-5 in a game that was called early due to an unfortunate injury and 1st grade were well beaten by a strong UWSH side.

Training

This week and next week we will train on TUESDAY ONLY. Do make the effort as it is important to hit the ground running after ANZAC Day weekend. Rohan will also be doing sandhills at Palm Beach. Get in touch if you’re keen to run hills.

Rego

So far only 32% of registered players have paid their subs. These funds are vital to operate the club so please pay before the end of the week. Full details on how to pay on the website
