Palm Beach sand hills

Back to White preparation and Palmy sand hills

See this week’s update below:

Again the 4th grade boys got the biccies and go to the top of the table. A close loss by 3rd grade was disappointing but the performance was much improved. 2s played a strong game and the score was 0-0 at half time but Hills ran away with it in the 2nd half. 1s was much the same story with the piggies dominating the first half to take 13-7 lead at half time. Unfortunately the Hills boys scored a few late tries to take the game 24-13. The real winners on the day were ANAMALIA who took home the coveted Golden Oar for the second year running at the 3rd Annual KOBs Regatta at the AYH. What a night!

Training will be on Tuesday ONLY this week. Thursday should be spent at the AYH trying to win the $5200 joker poker! Saturday we will be running Sand Hills at Palm Beach. 8:30am start and $20 for the PT. This will be one of the toughest sessions of the year but will help us be able to close out matches, which we lacked last week. This will be followed by a good feed and possibly 9 holes at Avalon.

Back to White Day. 5 July. Tell everyone! RSVP to the facebook event. Planning will be ramping up and the whole club needs to chip in. You will be asked to help on the day so please respond willingly. We will also be calling for raffle prizes to be sold on the day. We will be asking for 2 prizes per team (i.e. 1 fro the forwards and 1 from the backs). Some suggestions have included:

–        helicopter ride

–        a butchered lamb from the farm

–        room decoration

–        snow sports gear

If in doubt, gather some cash and buy a few bottles of wine.
