Kings Old Boys Rugby Union - Back to the white day

Back to White Wrap, lost jerseys and Hornsby Ladies Day

See this week’s update below:

Last weekend was a special day on the White Oval for the 2014 Back to White Day. 4th grade again had a strong performance and kept themselves in the top 4 coming into finals. 1st grade led for most of the game, before losing the lead with 10 to go, regaining it with 2 to go and cruelly losing it in the last play in what was without a doubt one of the most exciting games of the season. The Golden Oldies (with plenty of blokes who could still be running around in the higher grades) played an entertaining mix of chip and chases, lazy walking between and shots of port. Off the field, the champagne and the lamb spit went down a treat and the raffle prizes were eagerly snapped up. All in all a fantastic day and a big thanks to everyone who made it possible in planning, on the day and in the clean up on Sunday. All the photos from the day are online at

There are just 4 games to go and the club is currently 1 position away from relegation. With a strong result against Hornsby this weekend we should be just about safe but get down to training and let’s finish the year off well and start building for finals (in 2014 for 4th grade and in 2015 for the rest).

Plenty more to come here so standby!

Missing jerseys

An entire bag of dirty, smelly jerseys has gone missing over the weekend. If you know where they are, please let us know on the facebook page or by return email as these are very valuable and otherwise we will be struggling for this weekend!

The King’s School OBU Annual Dinner

This event is open to Old Boys’ of the school only, but is a fantastic networking event and opportunity to catch up with school friends.
